Stefan Bauerreis studied Business Administration at Otto-Friedrich University in Bamberg as well as at the Universitat Central de Barcelona and graduated with a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann).

He is a distinguished finance expert with many years of international leadership experience in finance functions at global publicly listed companies included in the MDAX and SDAX. He has extensive expertise in accounting, controlling, treasury, taxation, ESG and M&A, as well as in the transformation, management and restructuring of international corporations. In addition, he was responsible for the IT function and has in-depth knowledge of ERP systems, in particular SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA.

Throughout his career, Stefan Bauerreis has implemented numerous initiatives to increase process efficiency, speed, and transparency. These include, in particular, the establishment of global shared service structures as well as the targeted use of digitalization and automation in central corporate functions. 

He began his professional career as auditor at Mannesmann Internal Audit GmbH. He then moved to the Schaeffler Group, where he held various senior finance positions for more than 20 years. Among other roles, he served as Head of Corporate Accounting and as Regional CFO for Germany and later for Europe. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of the publicly listed Stabilus Group.
